The Lancashire Riviera is a large-scale contemporary narrative illustration celebrating the Fylde Coast from Fleetwood through Blackpool to St Annes on Sea, Fairhaven and Lytham, bringing together landmarks, people, culture and memories into one richly detailed visual story.
This piece has been over six months in the making, built through meticulous research, drawing and composition. Every element has been carefully illustrated and individually pieced together, creating a layered artwork designed to be explored time and time again.
From iconic architecture and local legends to hidden cultural references and everyday seaside moments, the artwork is intentionally detailed to ensure that each viewing reveals something new, sparking joy, nostalgia and discovery with every glance.

Each print is more than just an artwork, it is an interactive storytelling experience.
Every edition comes with a beautifully produced A4 hardback companion book, written and created by Kathryn Alice Olley, which:
• Explains what is featured within the artwork and the stories behind it
• Highlights key landmarks, figures and hidden details
• Includes a fun and engaging “I Spy” page, inviting viewers of all ages to explore and find elements within the piece

Introducing Elfie & Elfvis
The Lancashire Riviera marks the first appearance of Kathryn’s original characters Elfie and Elfvis — playful hidden figures inspired by her nickname.
They are carefully tucked into the artwork, encouraging viewers to take part in a “find the elves” experience, adding an extra layer of magic, curiosity and collectability.

Each of these works is carefully finished by hand, with subtle painted details, UV paint, textures and highlights added directly onto the print. This process creates a unique surface quality, meaning no two pieces are ever exactly the same, offering collectors something truly special and one-of-a-kind.
