Preston Eras – Limited Edition Illustration

Preston Eras is a cinematic, story-rich panoramic artwork celebrating the city’s people, heritage, and character. Created in collaboration with Bowker BMW Preston, this ambitious piece took several weeks to complete and combines extensive historical research with hand-drawn ink, watercolour, and digital compositing techniques to form a vibrant visual timeline of Preston through the ages.
Every figure, landmark, and moment has been carefully illustrated to honour the city’s past and present—inviting viewers to step inside the scene and uncover hidden stories, cultural references, and playful Easter eggs woven throughout. From early history to modern-day icons, the artwork is designed to reward close looking and repeated discovery.
Fact-Sheet Booklet
Each Preston Eras print is supported by a carefully researched fact-sheet booklet documenting the people, places, and moments illustrated within the artwork.
Developed alongside the creation of the piece, the booklet acts as a companion guide—offering historical context and storytelling behind the figures, landmarks, and cultural references woven throughout the panorama. From early history through to modern-day Preston, it reveals the layers of research and narrative that underpin the artwork.
